We at the Stop Calling Records encourage people to continue investing a little (not a lot of) money in music, provided there are talented, unpretentious and infectiously dedicated musicians turning out music worth purchasing. We adhere to a code of professional, educated, credentialed online writing – an effort to steady the hack-filled waters and silence the Pajama Brigade, one positive, intelligent blog post at a time.

Let’s trade ideas with open-mindedness and optimism. Let’s actually listen, and not just plan what we want to say next. Let’s be wrong, not just once in awhile, but a lot of the time. Let’s eradicate the verbal smackdown as a necessary tool in the battle of communication, and let’s stop viewing it as a battle in the first place. Let’s remember that violence is obvious in actions, but just as present in speech. And, seriously, let’s get the hell off this thing and talk face to face for once.

Stay tuned, stay true, stay you. And, as always, stop calling.

Hi Nathan, I enjoyed this bit of catching up on your life, and the song was great too! You’re such a talented writer—chatty with depth, engaging, friendly. I read it all. “Stopcalling records” is clever.

I trust all’s well at UCB, a good mixture of fun and study.

    Be well!

    Karen
